Wow , a tough night at the sportsbook for MMAFIGHTBET.  ...

Earlier in the week we released picks on the Main event between Alistar Overeem and Alexander Volkov,  and additionally the co-main event between Corey Sandhagen and Frankie Edgar at UFC VEGAS 18.

Our picks was to take Alistar Overeem straight up at the +150 the books were offering,  figuring Volkov would get tired and eventually fall into a grappling match with Overeem where Reem could get him out of there. 

The other pick was to take the Edgar vs Sandhagen fight to the distance. ( fight goes the distance), figuring Edgar who has the most ring time and a plethora of 3 round distance fights could avoid the young man's wrath for atleast 3 rounds. 


Boy was we ever wrong here at MMAFIGHTBET,  what happened was the complete opposite.  Alexander Volkov pieced up Overeem very badly. And made him look like a 40 year old man who's best years were behind him. 

Sandhagen looked like the jolly green giant fighting a tiny Edgar.. delivering a flying knee 30 secs into the fight that ended Edgar's career in our opinion. Ruining our bet as well. 


We got swept at UFC Vegas 18 , only putting out 2 picks because here at mmafightbet we don't throw out a guess on every fight on the card just to boost our averages. 


So here is the deal , where now even on the year and flush,  our UFC 257 main and co-main predictions were a sweep and we cashed big. So we swept last event and the sportsbook returned the favor this event.  


It's worth noting that we did throw action on Clay Guida secs before the betting closed at bovada.... for Guida to win at +175..... and so we were Blessed to win that and cut our losses. 


Clay Guida looked stellar tonight. He really took it too Micheal Johnson,  beat him up from bell to bell... At mmafightbet we are really impressed with his performance. And look forward to his next bout. 

So we're are at Even officially for 2021 on our betting units. On official prediction picks. And thats ok.... let's get some data and go into UFC 258 Usman vs Burns and get some positive traction on some gambling units.

Sean Strickland to be Finished by Nassourdine Imavov at UFC FIGHT NIGHT VEGAS 67

  Listen Man , Sean Strickland is a Elite MIXED Martial Arts Fighter.  However, with that being said. I think the UFC made a mistake. He has (in my opinion) not a great chance in this fight.  That is of course if Imavov shows up with enough cardio. ?I just feel Sean is too one dimensional.  He does have excellent cardio and a elite jab.
