Nate Diaz Plans to Take Leon Edwards to deep water and drown his A$$
Its no secret that Nathan Diaz is a distance fighter, he thrives in the pocket boxing late with his opponents.
body, head , body hook, head , body hook again!
Nate starts at mediocre but a pressing pace and keeps constant pressure on his opponents letting his shots fly at about 55% of his raw power, and from that mediocre start he just continues to turn the volume knob up after every 30 secs or so... just one notch, then another , then another..............
And before long his opponent finds himself in the middle of the fourth round chest burning , hard to breathe. legs jelly , weak, and often hurt, but always absolutely exhausted..... just done....
Problem is Nate is not!..... In fact he is just starting to get turned up, and ready to really fight.
It's usually at this time guys cannot stand the exhaustion and they look for away out rather than to catch a full blown Stockton beat down. You saw Connor McGregor roll over and give his back to Nate after just a couple rounds of Nate Diaz's pressure.
It's simple for me , when I look at the Diaz vs Edwards bout at UFC 263 , and I see that the UFC made a special 5 round fight for Nate , ... {if you don't know the UFC made this bout a 5 round non-title fight, the first one in UFC History.} it's evident that Nate Diaz wants the extra two rounds because that is where he plans to bury and Leave Leon Edwards , along with number 1 contender status.
He thinks he can break Edwards in round 4 or 5.......or if not ? there is no reason to ask for them.
I think Diaz and his strategy are being overlooked. And I'm predicting a early 5th round stoppage via tko or submission....
also I like Nate in this fight for his triangle submission ability .......

Look for Nate apply steady but low pressure in rounds 1 2 and then towards the end of round 3 really start picking up the pace... maybe even bait Edwards into a early high out
One thing , I'm super interested to see is who will oppose their will up against the cage , cause I think that's where a great deal of this fight will play out....
If Diaz can muscle Edwards up against the cage and then employ phone booth boxing on him.... and or get lots of hip tosses into mount like he did against Pettis... game over.
I'll be watching super early action to see who is winning the clinch battles against the fence...
