DOES KAMARU USMAN REALLY WANT TO FIGHT CANELO ? OR IS THIS ABOUT A BIGGER CONTRACT?

Kamaru Usman talked a big game during fight week recently. Not only about beating his opponent Colby (chaos) Covington.  Also about his want to fight Canelo Alvarez . Boxing's king of ppv right now. 

The two interestingly enough were both locked into bouts last Saturday. Both victorious. 

But how much of this wanting to fight Canelo, is actually Usman really wanting to fight the incredibly talented boxer?  And how much of this talk is to try and get more money from the UFC at contract time?

MMAFIGHTBET.COM recently reached out via email to his management company. For any insight to how many fights the UFC welterweight Champion of the World has remaining on his contract with the promotion. As of tonight we have not recieved a response. 

Canelo is a viscous knock out artist , and likely the pound for pound best boxer in the world right now. It would essientally be throwing a lamb to slaughter if the UFC allowed KAMARU to do a one off bout with CANELO. 

The bout would likely tarnish the ufc welterweight title and it's holder.  Not likely the UFC will allow this or even consider this. 

Paraphrasing what UFC President DANA WHITE recently had to say about the matter. HE basically wants KAMARU to forget about it. 

  

My opinion personally is KAMARU must not have very many fights left on his contract. And he is posturing to let the UFC know that he has options. He likely is sending a message that the offer from the promotion come contract renewal needs to be righteous. 

And listen ❗ RIGHTFULLY SO❗ Can you think of a more active champion 🏆  in the last year ? No way. Also KAMARU has been involved in a great deal of the UFC'S highest grossing pay-perviews recently. 

Get ready for USMAN to get a contract from the UFC that may be the highest per fight contract ever signed. ❗

Future fights with USMAN all have big dollar potential as the fighter closes in on being the greatest of all time. 

I think 🤔 the posturing to show he has other options is very very smart.  And the UFC will pay whatever is needed to hold the athlete in their ranks.

Sean Strickland to be Finished by Nassourdine Imavov at UFC FIGHT NIGHT VEGAS 67

  Listen Man , Sean Strickland is a Elite MIXED Martial Arts Fighter.  However, with that being said. I think the UFC made a mistake. He has (in my opinion) not a great chance in this fight.  That is of course if Imavov shows up with enough cardio. ?I just feel Sean is too one dimensional.  He does have excellent cardio and a elite jab.
