WTF ? CAN FRANCIS NGANNOU LEAVE WITH UFC HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE UPON DEFEATING CIRYL GANE !!

 

UFC Heavyweight Champion 🏆  Francis " The Predator"  Ngannou is heading into a title unification bout with Interim Heavyweight Champion Cyril Gane . The bout is scheduled to take place on January 22nd at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. 

There is a interesting behind the scenes sort of delima that is developing around this bout however. It's being reported, at least in some online videos and articles that Francis turned down a lucrative contract offer from the UFC upon winning the title from Stipe Miocic earlier this year. 

Rumor is the Heavyweight Champion 🏆 of the World ( UFC MMA) is going into this fight as the last fight on his existing UFC contract. 

This leaves a massive " what if " scenario. 

Can Francis Ngannou leave with the UFC WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP if he defeats Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 ?

The answer is no.  Large organizations like the UFC have been through these ordeals before.  They have some of the world's smartest and slickest Lawyers design their contracts.  

Upon winning at UFC 270,  FRANCIS " THE PREDATOR" NGANNOU has a (CHAMPIONS CLAUSE)  in his contract . This clause states, that if a fighter has no contract or has no fights remaining on their contract . And they hold a world title with the organization , their contract is automatically extended for 1 fight. 

So no he cannot just jump ship while being the reigning World Heavyweight Champion. 

THE FRICTION - SOMETHING IS WRONG BETWEEN NGANNOU HIS MANAGEMENT AND THE UFC

A few months back the UFC wanted Francis Ngannou to defend the title at a ppv. He refused or turned down the offer. This started a back and forth argument with the UFC and Ngannou and his manager Marquel Martin. 

There was a big dispute. So much so that Dana White personally stepped in on social media to say negative things about Marquel Martin. 

The UFC just released Martin's only other managed UFC fighter ( that we are aware of) Kevin Lee. He had multiple fights left on his deal. And the release was very unexpected.  

This was intentional,  no matter what anyone says. The release of Kevin Lee was tied to the negative relationship between Marquel Martin and Dana White / The UFC. 

Bottom line here is.; UFC called on their champ to defend and he did not. And evidently however he turned that fight offer down really pissed off the UFC. Do they want him gone? Our prediction at mmafightbet.com is that they do want Francis gone as well. 

There is major friction... major conflict between the champ and the promotion going into this title fight at UFC 270. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

As of right now if it is true Ngannou wants to go compete in boxing . Which one must take him for his word and actions. It would seem the easiest path to that goal would be to drop the belt to CIRYL GANE.
