BRANDON ROYVAL MUST CHANGE HIS FIGHT STYLE !

JANUARY 4th 2021
UFC flyweight Brandon Royval has expressed intent in a recent video to change the way he fights.
And this is why I watch fighter interviews on video platforms like YouTube. UFC fighters are not massive celebrities , and often give interviews to non-main stream media outlets. They are accessible and that is cool. These small airings usually grab a couple thousand views. But if you pay close attention to them you can learn a lot about what's going on in their world and their mindset.
It helps you develop a closer understanding of what the thoughts are of a fighter going into his next bout . Where he is professionally and what if any changes he is going to make.
When it comes to mma sports gambling , this type of info can be hugely beneficial. I cannot count the number of times I've gotten great insight from a fighter interview that's led to winning bets. ( it is significant)
Brandon Royval in this interview expressed that he maybe has been over excited , or going into fights with no game plan. His motivation in previous UFC fights has been that he wanted to be known as a exciting fighter. And also earn 50k bonuses. ( fight of the night awards or performance of the night awards)
Royval understands this mindset has cost him some wins, and also caused other issues with his fight career.
He has lost his last two UFC fights. They have been ultra competitive and exciting , but the end results have been disappointing for the Flyweight Championship Hopeful.

A dropped fight to now Flyweight World Champion Brandon Moreno started the 2 fight skid. In this bout Royval looked great. Personally I felt if he beat Moreno he may have been in title contention. He lost via strikes from having a hurt shoulder trapped. His shoulder was out of socket as a result. It had to be slammed back in place by his coach afterwards.

Royval ' In my opinion '; lost this fight because he chose to brawl with Moreno instead of staying level headed.
More recently he dropped a fight to Alexandre Pantoja via submission. Rear naked choke to be exact. And it happened right at the time when most of Royvals fights end naturally. The beginning of Round 2. Throughout his career there is a consistent pattern. His fights end in late round 1 or the first couple mins of round 2.
A brawler is what he is ❗
And the style honestly has made him very popular. Plus it has landed him some very impressive wins in the UFC. He has finished both Kai Kara France and Tim Elliot. Both seasoned fighters that he tricked into brawling.
There is no doubt Brandon Royval is an amazingly fun fighter to watch. The first time I saw him fight , I remember my brain telling me' this is my new favorite fighter '.
But , he will have to change in order to become the best flyweight in the world and realize his full potential.
Brandon Royval will have to learn how to not brawl and fight frantically and uncontrolled if he ever wants to become the UFC FLYWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION.
Honestly, He has the skills to be a champion. He just needs to understand that UFC CHAMPIONS are calculated fighters. They do not get trapped in wild exchanges. They preserve their energy and fight controlled. They dictate when , where , and how. CHAMPIONS do not leave their fate and world title at risk by participating in Wild unorthodox exchanges. Not only UFC CHAMPIONS , but we can say this about all the best mma fighters in the world.

The good news is : In the video interview, Royval seems to express that moving forward and especially in his next fight with Rogero Bonterio , he needs to play chess and not checkers. This is a start. It leads me to believe that at the very least he has identified the problem. And has a want to fix it!
Brandon Royval is a likeable guy on video. He exerts this kind of high energy , slightly nervous , but ultra kind demeanor. It's very high energy. So much so , that it makes you wonder if Royval will be able to slow down and critically think during a fight or if he will get lured back into his old ways .
DOES THIS EFFECT THE BETTING ODDS ?
Royval wants to change. But does Vegas and the sportsbooks know about his planned new "chess " not " checkers " approach to fighting.
If the odds have Royval calculated as a Brawler , and he changes the way he fights? Are there any betting lines we can take advantage of?
Well there may be. If we look at Bovada Sportsbooks OVER/UNDER set on this fight its at 2.5
Clearly Vegas and the sportsbooks believe Brandon Royval is a brawler wild and non able to fight a calculated fight. After all, we're talking about Flyweight contenders here. They are usually almost always line juiced to go the distance.
These odds show the sportsbook believes this fight will not go the distance.
I think you could play the over 2.5 here and make some positive money if Brandon sticks to his game plan. His opponent is known to go the distance often in fights when he isn't getting knocked out by Kai Kara France.
A safer line. And a line that I will probably play once they make it public is the over 1.5 rounds. I'll gladly pay some juice to get a return on my investment with a little bit better confidence that it will hit.
Royvals average fight time over the course of his career is about 7.5 mins per fight. If he is wanting to be more skillful and not rush things? That tells me he wants to push his fights longer. And turn more into a point fighter . And only go for the finish when it is 100 percent certain.
The GIANT QUESTION IS : CAN ROYVAL CHANGE ?
Personally , I'm going to ride with him on this. I believe him.
So the MMAFIGHTBET.COM OFFICIAL PREDICTION FOR ROYVAL VS BONTERIO IS "
(( OVER 1.5 ))
I feel great about this particular bet. And look forward to collecting a return on my units.
