So Bellator 265 just wrapped up and I can honestly say wow, what a performance from a 46 year old Cheick Kongo .  It looked as if he was done , Kharitonov was getting over on him well with good timing and a stiff jab , in fact Kongo spent most of the first round against the cage with his back against the wall Weathering the stellar jab of Kharitonov.  In between rounds,  the corner told Cheick this was it , he had to go... he had to let go ... More than likely sensing that their fighter was hurt , tired , 46 years old , and maybe on his last leg.  Well, Kongo came out and exhilarated the Bellator MMa fans both at venue and on showtime as he methodically worked his way back into the fight with his reach and boxing ...  By midway through round 2 Kongo had found his way back to the center of the cage going toe to toe with Kharitonov , a stark contrast to just minutes before in round 1..... And then it happened , a right hand that stunned Kharitonov,...

IN-FACT CASEY KENNY IS ABOUT TO FIGHT SONG YA DONG ON THE FIRST FIGHT OF THE MAIN CARD.  SO WE ARE ABOUT 90 MINS PROLLY OR LESS FROM THE MAIN EVENT.  A MAIN EVENT THAT VEGAS AND THE ODDS MAKERS SEE THE FRENCHMAN CIRYL GANE WINNING. THEY BELIEVE HE IS TOO ATHLETIC AND IS GOING TO PICK APART THE MOSTLY STATIONARY GUNSLINGER DERRICK LEWIS.  I HOWEVER FEEL FOR SOME REASON THAT DERRICK ( AND I MAY BE SPELLING HIS FIRST NAME WRONG) IS GOING TO FIND AWAY TO WALK OUT OF THE TOYOTA CENTER IN HOUSTON TONIGHT WITH A WIN AND THE INTERIM UFC WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE 🏆.   AT PLUS ➕290 ..... WHAT A GRAB IF HE DOES.  I ALSO BELIEVE THAT ON PAPER CIRYL GANE SHOULD WIN THIS FIGHT. BUT , THERE IS SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT DERRICK AND HIS RIGHT HAND. AND I FEEL HE FINDS AWAY TONIGHT. I DONT KNOW WHY , OR HOW , BUT I THINK HE WINS.  IM GOING TO SAY UPPERCUT , RIGHT HAND, JUST LIKE HE DID TO CURTIS BLAYDES...

We know he can take a beating and keep coming forward.  However in his media day press conference he says he has put down Marijuana and is very clear minded,  doesn't want to be a dummy any more and get hit constantly...has been working hard to create angles to attack from ...... he just seems composed and confident. And I like that in a fighter...  I think Niko is going to do well in this fight and I'm going to play him straight up.  I see Michel being to confident and making a silly mistake. And Niko making him pay for it.. I see Niko Price's reach and striking to be a problem for Pereira.  My prediction.... is Price via tko or ko in the second or third.  However my official betting line is that I'm going to put a unit on Price to win. So listen, I'm not a huge fan of making more out of things than what they are. , going into the in-depth details of matchups and doing defense and strike percentage comparisons.  Is this dude left ✋handed , is that dude right ✋handed. It's hard not too however look into some of those things when your talking about the caliber of fights at the upcoming UFC 263 in Phoenix , Arizona 🌵  For the simplicity of this blog post , I'll leave that stuff out and just tell you in a more simple way,  who I got in some of these fights... As I won't be betting 💵 the entire card like some fools.  First off , let's talk about the Nathan Diaz vs Leon Edwards bout... I LIKE DIAZ...  I think he has more than 1 way to win.   In fact , I think he has more than 2 ways to win... triangle 🔺️choke , phone booth boxing , nutrition - he could potentially outlast Edwards. Figueiredo vs Moreno - I like Figueiredo,  👍 I think he is a safe bet to Retain his title....

  Its no secret that Nathan Diaz is a distance fighter, he thrives in the pocket boxing late with his opponents.  body, head , body hook, head , body hook again!  Nate starts at mediocre but a pressing pace and keeps constant pressure on his opponents letting his shots fly at about 55% of his raw power, and from that mediocre start he just continues to turn the volume knob up after every 30 secs or so... just one notch, then another , then another.............. And before long his opponent finds himself in the middle of the fourth round chest burning , hard to breathe. legs jelly , weak, and often hurt, but always absolutely exhausted..... just done.... Problem is Nate is not!..... In fact he is just starting to get turned up, and ready to really fight.  It's usually at this time guys cannot stand the exhaustion and they look for away out rather than to catch a full blown Stockton beat down.
